Risa Salsberg is a mixed-media artist based in Vancouver BC, Canada. Her illustrative work is approachable, intimate and contemplative. She has committed to this particular drawing series since 2005. During this process she has created more than 3000 delicate images that document and reflect daily on the transient experiences and subtle emotions of each day.
Salsberg’s work has been featured in such venues as the gift shops of the Yokosuka Museum of Contemporary Art near Tokyo Japan, the Vancouver Art Gallery, Redfish Clothing for the Courageous, and Hollyhock Centre.
She began her artistic studies at the Ontario College of Art and later graduated with a Certificate of Studio Arts from Capilano University, North Vancouver. Salsberg has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships. Risa’s work has been included in both group and solo exhibitions.
